
2011 - Finished sixth in the IZOD IndyCar Series point standings. Scored four podium finishes including a second place at Long Beach where he led the most laps and third place at Sao Paulo, Texas and Infineon. Earned 10 top-10 finishes.
2010 - Finished fifth in the IZOD IndyCar Series point standings. Earned poles in at Kansas, Chicago and Texas, where he started from the pole and led the most laps on his way to victory. Scored two podium finishes – a second at Watkins Glen and a third at St. Petersburg. He had 11 top-five and 13 top-10 finishes.
2009 - Finished third in the IndyCar Series points standings in the No. 6 Team Penske Dallara/Honda after leading the championship several times during the course of the season. Posted race victories at St. Petersburg, Kentucky and Chicago. Won pole positions at Milwaukee, Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio and Chicago. Finished inside the top-five 13 times. Led laps in a series-high 13 races.
2008 - Finished fifth in the IndyCar Series points standings in his first season driving the #6 Team Penske Dallara/Honda. Earned first career IndyCar Series victory at the Milwaukee Mile and his second win at Mid-Ohio. Also won exhibition race at Surfers Paradise, becoming the only Australian to ever win an Indy car event at that venue. With this win, Briscoe rounded out his open-wheel resume by winning on each of the three types of IndyCar Series tracks in 2008 - an oval, a permanent road course and a temporary street circuit. Scored three poles (Watkins Glen, Edmonton and Chicago). Captured the overall win at the prestigious Petit Le Mans American Le Mans Series endurance race with IndyCar Series teammate Helio Castroneves in the Penske Racing Porsche RS Spyder.
2007 - Started seventh and finished fifth in 91st Indianapolis 500 for Luczo Dragon Racing. Finished second in American Le Mans Series’ LMP2 Class for Penske Racing. Teamed with Sascha Maassen to score three wins (St. Petersburg, Utah and Lime Rock) and two poles (Belle Isle and Laguna Seca). Also earned ALMS Rookie-of-the-Year honors.
2006 - Finished 21st in IndyCar Series point standings driving a limited schedule with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. Made four starts, finishing careerbest third at Watkins Glen International in his debut with the team. Also recorded a ninth-place finish at Nashville. Competed for Team Australia in the A1GP championship with best finish of third. Placed second and third in Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series events at Watkins Glen for Suntrust Racing. Made two starts in the Champ Car World Series for RuSPORT.
2005 - Finished 19th in IndyCar Series point standings for Target Chip Ganassi Racing with a best finish of eighth (Nashville). Captured first career pole position at Sonoma. Season ended early after suffering serious injuries in an accident at Chicagoland Speedway.
2004 - Earned position as a test driver for Panasonic Toyota Racing in Formula 1. Served as the team’s third driver for Friday practice sessions at Hungaroring, Spa-Francochamps, Monza, Shanghai and Interlagos (Brazil).
2003 - Won Formula 3 Euroseries Championship for Prema Powerteam with eight victories. Served as official Toyota Racing Development test driver, with occasional Formula 1 tests for Panasonic Toyota Racing.
2002 - Competed in Formula 3000 International Championship for Nordic Racingwith best finish of 12th (Interlagos, Barcelona and Silverstone). Raced in German Formula 3 Championship for Prema Powerteam with three podium finishes in six starts. Served as Toyota Driver’s Academy racer and test driver for Panasonic Toyota Racing.
2001 - Won Italian Formula Renault 2000 Championship for Prema Powerteam with five wins and six pole positions. Finished fourth in Formula Renault Eurocup for Prema Powerteam with two wins, despite missing four races. Signed as Toyota Driver’s Academy driver and earned Formula One test with Panasonic Toyota Racing.
2000 - Drove in Italian Formula Renault 2000 Winter Series producing one win and three pole positions.
1999-1993 - Competed in kart racing in Australia and Italy, winning the Italian Formula A, Australian state championship, three Australian championships and one Oceania championship. Twice named C.A.M.S. Junior Karter of the Year.
